Life Lately: Is It 9 Months Already?

Jul 16, 2017 No Comment

Saturdays usually meant staying in bed, curling up under the blanket, and trying to cure a hangover for people in my age. Nowadays, Saturdays are meant to do the fiancé’s laundry, dry out plates, goblets, and utensils and back to their respective cabinets, and some very other adult things to do. As much as possible P and I help around the house despite having a helper, I personally prefer to do the things that I can do on my own just to get the load off her back.

Behind Every Wife Is A Basket Of Dirty Laundry

Today I learned how to use our washing machine. There are different settings for different loads. Our help, Dorota (a nickname I gave her when I was younger and crazy about Gossip Girl), taught me all the different settings and their uses. There are three (4) phases: rinse, soap, softener, rinse again. I was very surprised on how much phases I had to go through just to throughly clean his clothes. It was a pretty vigorous experience but I enjoyed every bit of it. I am finally becoming an adult! But seriously, can you imagine Inna Santiago doing laundry?

Never Stop Being A Big Spender

Have you noticed what’s new with our pretty blog? I had to change because I was having a problem with Google fonts with the previous theme we were using. Also, we paid for a theme that didn’t have support. However, when I encountered several problems with the design and it’s functions, I always reached out to the developer. This service isn’t part of what we paid for but I was very glad that they still entertained my inquiries.

Fast forward to yesterday, I was very irritated by the fact the developer hasn’t fixed my previous theme’s problem when in fact I’ve already given him the credentials to do so. Today I received a message from him apologizing that he has been out of the country. Too late, already changed my theme and purchased one with support.

Lesson learned baby girl, lesson learned.

Always be smart with investments. Most of us want to be practical, however being too practical can make you cheap. It is definitely not bad to be cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. I’ve always been a believer of spending a good amount of money on things I know that is good, however since the fiancé is a Dutch (they kind of have a reputation you know) I still have to teach him these type of things. One thing I am happy that he got rid off is buying second hand household electrical items. It can be good if you know that it has been taken care of very well from the previous owner, but most likely you would never know it’s real condition until you purchase it and have used it for several times.

Is it 9 Months Yet

Hear ye! Hear ye! We are now finally on our third trimester. Some say that the third trimester is as “pregnancy” bad as the first one. Yikes. I am definitely feeling it. Bigger belly, back aches, exhaustion and constant mood swings. I can just go on and on and on.

The plus side of this is that we can feel our baby constantly moving inside me, and all I can feel is genuine joy and at the same time weirded out knowing there’s a little human forming inside me. Science is freaking great. I really do not regret having all this pain when I know this is all for our little one. Just bear with it ladies!

Everyone is getting excited, friends, family, strangers – you name it. We haven’t met you yet, but we definitely love you so much already.

Can’t wait to see you ☾
